Description

Reconstruction. The site was used since the Roman era. The most significant renovation began around 1531. Damaged during the Succession War, and the War of Independence, it was virtually destroyed in 1936. Work to rebuild the palace started in 1940 and finished in 1961. It has different uses from royal residence to military academy, and today functions as military museum and library.
